My Love Alexander was born was born August 4, 1831 in Calhoun Co. AL. He had a connection with the Bordens of Borden Springs...Rebecca Borden married Matthew Alexander. Love was in the 30th regiment of the CSA. He did get captured at Vickburg, but he was paroled and then rejoined the fight and was killed on May 26, 1864 I think near Dallas Georgia. I have an inkling that the Love name came from an Indian ancestor. My mother said that one of my her ancestors had a small amount of Indian blood, but I don't know who that was. Love's name was in a Bible of the Borden Springs Alexanders but I don't know the connection. In the census, it states that his father was from Georgia. I am at a blank wall as to his parents.
