I was wondering if these names ring a bell with anyone? This is all Indian Territory info and I know its hard to get if you aren't Native American Indian but if you are they will send you all kinds of stuff. I have been working on my side of the family and my kids side I only did a little bit because I was going to wait till my daughter was older in hopes that she would get interested in genealogy. (My Ex-Husbands family) I started talking to one of their great Aunts and she gave me a pile of papers from the Chickasaw Nation and then that threw my brain in a loop..... Laughs One of the reasons was....to me it looks like I ran into a Tee-Pee Hopper.. Oh my gosh...laughs... Anyway if you all bear with me and keep in mind that I do not have these papers in order and I do not have this side of the family memorized like I would my own I will try to give as much info as I can,Im typing it in as I look through the papers..... NOTE......Like I said this is not in order I just want to know if the names ring a bell....remember I have not researched everyone in this family so some of them could have been born somewhere else, but I do have most of the papers where the commissioner questioned them up and down. Jerome BROWN -married- Mary York ,May 1898 He is called a few different names.... Gram-Girom -Gerome-Jerome---- BROWN Child #1 Benjamin Franklin BROWN---born Jan 1900 ..delivered by Mary's Mother(Rosa YORK). 1900,Mary is 22 on Benjamine birth record but odd thing is that on his birth Record it states a midwife name Rosa GOSS but during questioning by Commisioner her mother Rosa YORK said she delivered him. When Benjamin was 5 months old, Mary said Jerome left her. When Mary was questioned by the commissioner of 5 civilized tribes they Informed her that that Jerome had a three year old daughter named Lizzie and The mothers name is Emily BROWN Lizzie BROWN applied for enrollment in 1899....died in 1902 Jerome---- BROWN 22 yrs old married ...Mary York 20 yrs old (April 1898) in OK Mary is the daughter of L .H.
