I am trying to find information on Samuel Alexander (b. 1856) and Rachel Coward (b. 1854) who married in Jackson Co., NC 1876/79. Rachel was the daughter of Samuel H. and Matilda Coward. Samuel and Rachel had a daughter Kathryn "Kate" b. 1885, who married Thad Wilson Farmer Other possible Alexander children: Washington b. 1879 "Jut Carey" or Andrew ? b. 1881 - married Minnie in 1910 Jane b. 1883 Ancestry.com give Rachel's date of death as 1895. However, there is a Rachel Alexander (who is the right age), living with Andrew and Minnie Alexander on the 1920 census of Jackson County, NC. I have not been able to locate Samuel or Rachel on the 1880, 1900 or 1910. Where were they????? Does anyone know what happened to Samuel and Rachel (Coward) Alexander.
