Another correction -- the 1920 census of Jackson Co., NC of Judson and Minnie Alexander shows Rachel Alexander (mother-in-law) age 67. Upon further research Minnie's mother was Rachel Parker. So it seems that the census taker not only could not write plainly -- he also shows Judson Alexander's mother-in-law as Rachel Alexander instead of Rachel Parker. Now -- back to my original question. Does anyone know what happened to Samuel M. and Rachel Alexander who married 1876-79 in Jackson Co., NC. They cannot be located on the 1880 census. Has anyone found them in 1880? Could they be in a neighboring county or state? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Phyllis in GA
