Hi Val, That message was sent to the wrong list, but your question does belong here. There were many John McKnitt Alexander's. The original John McKnitt was born in County Dublin in Ireland. He supposedly married Elizabeth Wallace. Then had 3 children: Jane McKnitt (b. c 1653) who married Andrew Alexander (one of the original 7) Abigail McKnitt (b. <1653) who married Joseph Alexander (one of the original 7) and John McKnitt (b. 1665) who married Jane Alexander (sister of Andres & Joseph) So there was a close relationship between the McKnitt's and the Alexander's. From that point on, it seels like every Alexander had at least one son named John McKnitt Alexander!
