William Coleman, his Wife Jane, 2 children, (John and Clara) together with Williams'Sister, Martha, arrived Tasmania to Cressy in 1840. John Alexander married Martha Coleman 11-2-1841. The founder of the Alexander Technique, was Frederick Matthias Alexander, who was a noted actor, until he developed throat problems, he then developed, as I understand it, a breathing programme which enabled him to continue in his profession, and, at the same time taught his system to others.
