In 1860, part of the family was in Cass Co., GA, and part was in Fulton Co., and at least one son, Benjamin, was listed in both counties. In Fulton Co, 1860, George W. Alexander and wife Elvina or Evelina had with them his brothers Benjamin, Joseph, and a brother, age 13, whose name appears to be Charles, although I've never seen Charles in Joseph's family elsewhere. (In fact, I thought that the name should possibly have been Columbus although it certainly didn't resemble Columbus.) Next door to George W.'s family in Fulton Co. was his sister Mary and her husband Rufus Bruce. E-mail me if you wish and we'll share information. I've hypothesized that this Alexander family was from Joseph Lowery Alexander, but I don't have much to back it up. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
