Alexander. There is a Ralph Lewis Alexander born in 1919 from this area of NC but he married Julia Anne McKnight. JONESVILLE - Mrs. Zelna "Zep" Alexander, 85, of Oak Street, Jonesville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Alexander was born May 15, 1921, in Farmington to Thomas Errette and Lula Clayton Thacker. Mrs. Alexander was retired from Chatham Manufacturing Company and was a member of Jonesville First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her foster parents, Foster and Lala Kiger; a sister; Opal Bodenhiemer; a brother, Bill BillyGreen Thacker; and three foster brothers, Kenneth, Melton and Harold Kiger. Survivors include her husband, Ralph L. Alexander, of the home, and a sister, Rhumelle "Mel" Evand of Florida. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2, at Crestwood Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Roger Hensley officiating.
