I am desperately trying to find my connection to the family. My great-grandfather was James W. Alexander who married Jane B. Nash on December 08, 1843 in Charlotte County, VA. so far he is my brick wall. I cannot find the family he is attached to. I am trying to learn all I can about the Alexanders from Campbell and Bedford Counties. I believe my connection is either there or from the Gerard Alexander line that comes through the area from Stafford County. Anything you can tell me about your family can help me to piece together the puzzle of the Alexander line in this area. Thank you.
