Oct. 6, 1766 and was a twin of "Margaret" who died young. Also, it seems that James was a son of AA and Jane McClure (AA's second wife) and not of Margaret Parks. Lastly. I show that James married Sarah Tedford, but I don't have the date. One curious item I noticed was the "Gaines" surname in your posting. My gg-granddad, John M. Alexander (a son of AA, Jr. and Isabella Patton) married Cordelia Gaines (of Ky.) in Monroe Cty., Mo. in 1840 ? Timewise, that's pretty far removed from your Gaines connection, but interesting nevertheless. Let me know if this helps or just confuses the matter further for you. Like you, I've found much of the information posted on the internet is incorrect. However, data posted by Robert (Bob) Frey on rootsweb and on genealogy.com is usually quite accurate. Unfortunately, Bob died of cancer last year.
