    3. Sorry, I don't. I saw his name is at least three histories of Camden (Kershaw County), SC. I was curious about him, but never read up on him. Miller from the Genealogical Society of Iredell Co.(unsure of where I copied it from but possibly Heritage of Alexander County) It does not list the Sharon School road but shows Thomas Snoddy living next to Allen (Ulysses) Alexander. Allen is my GGGG grandfather. So he is possibly the Alexander selling the land. The 1820 census lists 5 Alexanders: Abraham, Allen, David, James, and Capt. Moses but Allen is the closest to Thomas Snoddy on the map. We briefly corresponded about the Alexanders and the Snoddys in 2004. Let me know if I could send you a copy of this map. Susan Graben

    3. I am related to an Isaac Alexander way back in time..his birthplace appears to be NC and he died in Kentucky. My great grandfather, William Wilson Sloan, b. in the 1830s in NC had a younger brother that was a maternal namesake, Rev. Isaac Alexander Sloan who was b. in Kentucky after the family left NC and moved to KY... He died in Miller Co. MO in the first half of the 1900s. But I wonder how many Isaacs there are? Maybe if we "pooled" our information, we could make connections.. Anyone else with an "Isaac Alexander?" Ellie Swanger

    3. Greetings, I'm wondering if anyone might have insights into the correct parentage of 17th century Scottish(?) immigrant to Virginia John Alexander (f/o Robert Alexander and Frances Ashton). According to online citations, John was born about 1633 in Scotland, and died 1 Jun 1704 in Virginia (perhaps Stafford or Henry County); the name of his wife seems to be in dispute. Have since determined lineage was connected to John Chancy Alexander. (b.1825; d.11-17-1900) A Francis Marion Alexander (b.11-18-1845; d12-24-33) was my great grandfather. There were two Francis Marion. Alexanders had propensity to name children for relatives is my only guess. Thanks for responding.
