My Alexander line comes from Ireland to Spartanburg, SC. My ancestor Alexander Alexander had a brother named Joseph but as far as can be determined - he was unmarried. I know of another Alexander line that has Indian blood in it - if you will look at the Alexander posts that I have done, you will see a Debbie Alexander wo has told me of Indian in her line. You may want to contact her to see what she has. I can send you a descendant tree from my line if you would like to look at that - maybe something there will help, but as far as I know, we have no Indian line (not discovered yet, anyway!). Don't know if this helps - but can't hurt! Mary
If find out about the Indian Blood please keep me in mind. That runs in our Alexander line and so far do not know where it came from. If ever find any info will post. Joseph Alexander was Richard's great grandfather and served in the Revolutionary war. I have detailed information on her service records. I am hoping to one day find out who has the pictures that were left to Richard L. Alexander. He was married and his wife lived in Piper City. From the letters that were written he had accumulated a lot of things. Richard had 3 wives. One was a Gwendolyn Fowler, His next wife was Helen Kathleen Starr of Aylmer, Ontario Canada. Richard was in the Royal Canadian Air Force. I have so much information yet I have no idea what to do with all of it. I know I need to keep it in a dry sealed area but have not of yet. Richard had 4 children. She died 1830 at age 26. they had two children Nancy and Elisha Marion. She was the daughter of Ratcliftf Boon and Nancy Ann Harris, So I do not think she is the one you are looking for. Do you have a copy of "Alexander Families of Upper South Carolina" by Peggy Burton Rich, et. al.? This seems to be your Fanney Alexander on page 727-732. The introduction is as follows: "The parents of Fanney Alexander are not known at this time. There appears to be a relationship between Fanney Alexander and Daniel, Elisha, and Elijah Alexander. They were all living in Rockingham Co. N.C. during the same time period and moved into SC about the same time. The following information is given with the hopes a family connection can be established and documented." She then list the children of Farnney and Absalom Gibson with details of their families. She then also list all her source materinal and includes the probate records that you are quoting. I do not think any of my Alexander families include this family but I may have some Boon connections. Feel free to contact me at: [email protected]
