West Virginia, Ohio, and finally Pennsylvania. Fanny Love was born in Ardstraw Bridge, Parrish of Ardstraw, County Tyrone, Ireland, married Josiah Crawford sometime ~1800 and then immigrated. Their son, Armour Crawford married Jane Alexander in Allegheny, PA 1829. Katherine Winslow Pond

One key to DNA testing is to help us Alexanders locate previously unknown "cousins", enabling us to share information and research efforts. The Project is very active, gaining new members weekly. We have lot of helpful information, including lineages of our members and simple explanations of DNA testing and its value. Anyone interested in learning more is welcome to reply. 3. Edna; The YDNA remains essentially the same from Father to son over time, with minor mutations occasionally. Therefore, I, as the son of my father have the same YDNA as my father, and my sons have that same YDNA. My daughters did not receive my YDNA, because YDNA follows the male line only. MTDNA is passed from ones' mother, so I and my sister received my Mother's MTDNA and my sister passed that same MTDNA to her children, while my children received the MTDNA from my wife. The Scientist therefore tell us that we can essentially assume that my male direct line ancestors of my surname have essentially the same YDNA that I do. I hope this discussion helps answer your question. Larry R. 3. Jerry, I think you may have information relating to my great-grandfather, Love Alexander....also born in Borden Springs, AL in 1831. Could he have been brother to William Vinson? I have been at a dead end because I didn't know Love's parents. Love married Leatha Ann Cross and they had 3 children, two died early but my grandfather survived...his name is John James Alexander. My aunt told me she thought his father may have been an Arthur but it was unclear. I have researched Arthur Alexander who married Rebecca Borden but came up empty. Do you have more information on this family? -Carolyn Miracle ----- Original Message ----- From: <gc-gateway@rootsweb.com> To: <ALEXANDER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, July 24, 2007 3:35 PM Subject: Re: [ALEXANDER] More Alexander Info. > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Author: jerrysnow41 > Surnames: > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.alexander/151.157.501.502.503.508.1.2/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > I finally got a copy of Oklahoma death certificate for William Vinson > (Vincent or Venson) Alexander, born 2/19/1833 in Borden Springs AL, died > in Alex, Okla, 1/23/1920. 2. to whom it may concern I search for some information on a family Alexander. The person I am looking is Elizabeth Alexander on the tax 1846,1847,1850,1860 records she is Harrison Co..Texas. She gave land to Robert Alexander Wilson. She also gave land to Gum spring Cemetery. What I want to know is, Robert Alexander Wilson and Elizabeth Alexander cousins? and Who is her mother and father? I think she was born about 1799 in North Carolina on the 1850 census she is living in Harrison Co..Texas with T.J Bunett and 1860 but I lose her by 1870. I think the Wilson and Alexander and burnett and hill, Kuykendall family came on the a wagon train by 1845. I know the hills family was here my 1835 because James M Hill got land from the Republic of Texas he was in battle of janucto. if you have any question please email me at _Kevans2288@aol.com_ (mailto:Kevans2288@aol.com) Karen carter Evans ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour
