    3. I didn't really follow him much after he arrived in Belmont Co., OH. Finding him there only proved that he was NOT the Humphrey we are looking for as we know our Humphrey died in IL. There was also a Humphrey that was in the southern states and I have no idea what happened to him. 1. [ALEXANDER] Humphrey Alexander
    2. Dave and Barb Crawford
    3. Hello List, I know some of you have talked with me regarding the several Humphrey Alexanders that are in Ohio. My husband's Humphrey Alexander was b. 8 Feb 1784 in PA and died 5 Aug 1863 in Morgan Co. OH. He was married to an Elizabeth around 1810. I believe our Humphrey was in Belmont Co. OH before coming to Morgan Co., OH. I still don't know anything more about our Humphrey. I recently ordered a copy of a will for a Humphrey Alexander from Belmont Co., OH. I was hoping that getting a copy of this will for this other Humphrey Alexander from Belmont Co., OH, might help sort out my info. It looks like the will was probated 7 May 1879. I can find this Humphrey Alexander in the census records along with his daughter Rachel Brownlee. However, it hasn't help shed any light on things for me so far. I did think that perhaps others might like to see what the will said, so I have typed it out as best I could, and I have included it in this email. If anyone has any details on this family, please let me know. As I said above, so far I don't see it connection to our Humphrey. Thanks, Barb Crawford Hocking Co., OH The will reads as follows: I Humphrey Alexander of Richland Township Belmont County, Ohio considering the uncertainty of this life and being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament concerning my worldly state: Item 1^st -- I ??? will that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid. Item 2^nd -- I give and bequeath to my son John three thousand dollars of my Bank Stock in the First National Bank of St. Clairsville. Item 3^rd -- I give and bequeath to my daughter Rachel Brownlee four thousand dollars of my Bank Stock in the First National Bank of St. Clairsville. Also all the contents of my house including household and kitchen furniture and other articles that may be therein at my decease. Item 4^th -- I also give to my said daughter Rachel Brownlee my house and lot in the town of St. Clairsville, Ohio during her natural life. And at her death the said house and lot to be sold and the money divided among my grand children. Item 5^th -- I give and bequeath to my two grandsons Clarence and Edgar Alexander. Two hundred and fifty dollars each. Item 6^th -- I give and bequeath Fifty Dollars to be applied to the purchase of Bibles and testaments for the use and benefit of the freed people of the Southern States. Item 7^th -- I give and bequeath to the United Presbyterian Church of North America for the use of its foreign mission one hundred dollars to be by them appropriated to the branch of said mission at Cairo in Egypt which I have already subscribed to Doctor Johnston returned missionary from Egypt. Item 8^th -- I give and bequeath to my said son John and daughter Rachel Brownlee all the rest and residue of my estate both real and personal. I hereby ratify and confirm this as my last will and testament revoking all former wills by me made. In testimony whereof I have ??? set my hand and seal this 6^th day of February A.D. 1877. H. Alexander Executed by Humphrey Alexander as and for his last will and testament in our presence and signed by us in his presence and at his request as witnesses. This 6^th day of February A.D. 1877. 3. I am away from my genealogy information but a Humphrey is the son of John and Jean Alexander. He left York Co., PA about 1800-1801-1802 and went to Belmont Co., OH and he died in OH. Our Humphrey was born in Lancaster Co., PA abt 1806 and died in IL. He also married an Elizabeth and he also had a daughter named Rachel. I truely believe that our Humphrey is named after the older Humphrey and we are all of the same family. As far as Charles being Ezekiel's father, I kind of lean that way, but am certainly not able to find any hard and fast evidence to support it.
