    2. My grandmother was Aquilla Ann York, her second marriage was to a Jefferson Reed in 1909. There were 4 children, Ova, Hearl, Monroe, Elzia. Monroe had a son named Monroe and a daughter named Shirley Ann. They lived in Osceola, Ark for a time. After Jefferson died she married a surname DYE. They lived in Red Bay, Alabama. Aquilla Dye passed away in 1957.We have no other information. The Mobbs come in on my father's side of the family. He was Jeff Jeans, his Mother was Anna Louisa Mobbs, b Dec.4, 1865. Father, Robert William Jeanes. Her parents were Jessey Mobbs and Missouri S.J. (Williams) Mobbs.. I find then in the Hempstead Co., Ark. Census, 1860 Saline Township. This Jessey was age 30 born in North Carolina. Missouri was born in Tenn. Family legend is that Missouri was full blood Choctaw but other than family legend this has not been proved. The Mobbs married into the Jeans,( Jeanes (Janes) family. William (Billy) Mobbs married Katie Jeans. Tennessee A. Mobbs! also married a Jeans.I have notes with this line, Jesse, William L (Billy), William H (Bill) William F (Frank) & Anna Louisa Mobbs.5 generations of Mobbs. There are also Mobbs in the 1900 Indian Territory, Choctaw Nation Vol. 13, Sheet 13, Line 64. I have said all this to ask if you have run across any of these names? They settled around Mineral Springs, Ark. The surnames in my line are Jeans/Mobbs/Handley/York/Reed/Dye. We are just starting our search. I would like to hear from you.
