Surnames: Whitmire and Tidmore Classification: Birth Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DS.2ADE/743 Message Board Post: I am searching for information on the Robert Lee Whitmire + Nancy (Nannie) Elizabeth Tidmore Family. They were married in Hokes Bluff, Etowah Co. AL on 3 Sept 1889. They are shown with 6 of their 7 sons in the 1900 Alabama, Etowah Co., Hokes Bluff, Pct. 4 Census / E.D. 151, Sheet 2, Line 24, 2 June 1900. It shows the 6 sons born in Alabama (all before 1900). An obit for Nancy Elizabeth states that she was united with the Mtn. Creek Baptist Church-GA in the summer of 1896. This must not be correct. I am trying to verify the births of the first 6 sons (7th born in TX). My father, the 5th son thought he was born in GA. The info for AL says no birth certificates before 1903 - check the county. Didn't see a way to check Etowah Co. - Would appreciate ANY help.
