Mr. Stanfield, I have a Joseph Stanfield in my notes that could possibly fit your timetable. He is a son of Davenport Stanfield and Sarah Duncan, who got married in 1897 and probably in Etowah County. I'm not sure where my information came from. Davenport (or "Port") is an older brother of my ancestor and I haven't done much research on him. His father was a Benjamin Floyd Stanfield who left Murray County, Georgia, with a bunch of children in 1864 (probably to get out of General Sherman's way).
