ANCESTOR SWAP MEET "2001" Ancestor Swap Meet 2001, is being planned. We have made some changes and are in the planning stages of more. We reviewed the evaluation sheets and have taken some of your suggestions. Of course, we are always open to any suggestion that you might want to make, so send them to us. The location will be the same as last year. The Senior Activity Center in downtown Gadsden. There will be a hot catered lunch on site. There will be ample parking and help to get your materials in the building. We have added an extra feature this year, a Friday night open house at Nichols Memorial Library. This will be from 6 PM until 8 PM and those who come by can sign in for the Swap Meet and pick up their registration packet. We will offer queries $3.00 (fifty words or less) each for non- members of Northeast Alabama Genealogical Society, and one free to society members. Additional queries for members will be $1.00 each. Non-attending participation will be offered, just send us complete contact information, along with family files, copies of old Bible records, and basically anything that you wish to share. You will receive a copy of the Researchers list and queries from the Swap Meet. Then if you are interested in a copy of a particular file, send us a request for that file and we will send copies to you. The charge for file copies will be 15 cents per page, plus postage. We will send a bill with the copies. This covers most of the comments, with the exception of family files. We have a large library of family files, (files have been collected all year, and more are added each week). . Again, anyone who attends must register. There are no facilities for children.
