My grandfather was George H. Campbell, Sr and father was George H. Jr. Reference to the two gravestones, it is my belief that one of the stones, was in error. It looks as if someone covered it with cement and used it as another grave stone. Over the years, it looks as if the cement broke off and revealed the original errorenous date. I do not know whose grave the cemented stone marked. I also have reached a deadend at William M. Campbell. He was born abt 1807 in Virginia. Supposedly he was married 2 times. The first wife's name is unown and they were married abt 1828 possibly in Greene County Tn. His 2nd wife was Elizabeth Rachel Feesel, who he married abt 1835 in Greene County, Tn. I assume, by the birth dates and the marriage dates that George Lafayette Campbell was the son of the first wife (unknown). My email address is [email protected] Please contact me if you like. Dan W.
