Hello, everyone. A friend on the Chilton County list suggested I try my query here, as you all have a genealogical society and I might find some help. I am looking for information about three descendants of Charles F. and Matilda G. Diffenderfer, who were living in Alabama in 1903. They are: Mrs. D.L. Pitner (nee Maud Diffenderfer) b 1875, PA, living in 1903 in Birmingham, AL Herbert W. (or W. Herbert) Diffenderfer, b. 1879 or 1880, Nebraska, living in 1903 in Palos, AL Will C. Diffenderfer, b. 1883, Albion, NE, who homesteaded land in Baldwin County around 1899-1908. I believe all three of these folks worked at the Southern Industrial Association, pecan and peach orchards, in Baldwin County. This operation was owned by their uncle, Lincoln P. Goodhue, of Chicago, IL. Any help in tracing any records of the association would be wonderful. Can anyone forward this message to anyone who can help me find out what happened to Maud and Herbert, in particular? I know Will C. moved to Pensacola, as he became my grandfather (I never knew him--he died in 1929). Thanking you in advance for any/all leads. Best regards, Laura Alderson, Raleigh, NC
