I, too, would like to know about the history of Turkeytown. I would also like to connect with others who are interested in the family histories of those buried at Turkeytown Methodist Cemetery. Is there a viable Turkeytown Methodist Church there today? Who owns the cemetery? Is there a fund for its upkeep? Mary in TX Mary: Indeed, there is a very pretty Turkeytown Methodist Church with a well kept cemetery. Within the last 2 years, I have learned of my VENABLE relatives buried there and have visited the cemetery. Some of it is very, very old, but well maintained. The Sunday 6/18/2000 Gadsden Times printed a pullout on Neighborhoods. It included Keener, Turkeytown, Egypt, Aurora, Ball Play, Whitesboro, Crudup, Ivalee, Gallant, Littleton, Duck Springs. It tells a little about each community then and now. Super pictures. As I live in CA a wonderful "Cousin" from the area sent it to me and I ordered several more copies for other friends and family members. Don't know if they still have copies. Will
