    3. Azel Johns married Mary Dearman about 1803 in Darlington District, S.C. Her parents were Solomon Dearman and Mary Brigman. They moved to Alabama about 1815 and settled a little west of Steele, AL. I've been laboring under the belief that my great grandfather, Marion Johns, was the son of Richard Johns, who was the son of Azel Johns and Mary Dearman. However, I have no hard data to confirm this. Sorry I couldn't attend the "Swap Meet" in Gadsden tomorrow. My wife and I were booked and ready to go but my old wore out back won't allow it. I hope someone will have a tidbit of information they are willing to share with me that will tie this line together. Happy Swap Meeting, Rod Willis, Tallahassee, FL Posted on: Etowah Co.
