Hello List, I enjoyed the repartee about Alabama City. I was born in Attalla on Stowers Hill Jan 1, 1926 in the upstairs of my folks Grocery store/home. Of course I remember that once there was a TRI-CITIES and Gadsden was the other third. My Grandfather J. Homer Flynt of Shady Glen , Calhoun County had a Cousin (if I remember correctly) who had a Barber Shop in Alabama City. I remember riding past the "FLYNTS BARBER SHOP" sign on the way from Gadsden to Attalla to Steele where my Beason clan lived. Does anyone remember the Barber? FYI ...I now live in Boerne, TX in the HIll Country NW of San Antonio. George Beason
