Stuart, It is possible that you are looking for William Franklin Huff (22 April 1883 - 11 September 1966). He was my father's uncle and we all knew him as "Uncle Boss." He and his wife, Mattie Alva Hill, (married 17 January 1907) had a farm in Glencoe before I was born. As a child, I remember visiting their home in Glencoe once in a while, and it seems that we turned off of Route 431 on to Air Depot Road and went past the old wartime warehouses and the high school to get there. The reason I would suspect a connection is that I remember Uncle Boss's son, Howard Huff (b. early 1909), was involved with the Glencoe Fire Department in some way. (Now I only knew Howard as Howard; if his full name was WILLIAM Howard Huff, which is certainly possible, then I would put my money on him rather than Uncle Boss.) Anyway, Uncle Boss, Aunt Mattie, Howard, and his wife, Grace, are buried in Crestwood Cemetery in East Gadsden.
