Looking for information on the following family JOHN JOHNSON was born 1803 in South Carolina. He married FERNATY ALFORD, daughter of ARCHIBALD ALFORD and ELIZABETH. She was born 1813 in Georgia. Place of death for both is unknown. They married 23 Sep 1832. They lived for a number of years in Cherokee/Etowah Co. Children of JOHN JOHNSON and FERNATY ALFORD are: i. There is a good possibility this is 'Fernaty Alford' listed in the St Clair Co., AL marriage records as having married John Johnson 23 Sep 1832. She was the daughter of Baldy and Elizabeth Alford. John and 'Penatia' are living next to Baldy and Elizabeth in the 1850 census in Alford's Bend, Etowah Co., AL. She is listed as Penatia in Cherokee Co., AL 1850 census, Page 74b.
