Gaddis was my paternal great, great grandfather who was born in 1850 in Cherokee Co., 15th District, GA. He married Melinda Howell (Cherokee ancestry) born in 1948 in the same area. Linden's father was born in 1820 in North Carolina and his mother, Emily was born in 1827 in Georgia. Melinda's parents were John Howell born in 1813 in North Carolina and Melinda (same name as daughter) born in 1820 in south Carolina. Linden C. and Melinda had the following children: Thomas M., Ida Mae (my great grandmother),Union, Mark, Alice, Wille, Tera. Hope this helps.
