Steve, If you have not yet discovered this website, you are in for a real treat -- It has Native American great information and links: http://www.tngennet.org/cherokee_by_blood/index.htm Just yesterday, I received from that National Archives my grandfather's and great grandfather's applications for claims for share of "the fund appropriated by the Act of Congress approved June 30, 1906, in accordance with the decrees of the Court of Claims of May 18, 1906,a nd May 28, 1906, in favor of the Eastern Cherokees." Although their claims were rejected, at least now I have some names that were deliberately hidden for almost a hundred years and some valuable clues for further genealogical research. Good luck!
