His name was Emmett Lafayette (Lee)Gibson. He dropped the Layfayette upon enlisting for WWI and changed his middle name to Lee. I believe he was born in or around Rock Run or in Etowah County on Aug. 22, 1899. His father was John Riley Gibson and his mother was Lenora Sutherlin. He may have had a brother who moved either to Boston or Baltimore. His name may have been John Gibson. Any information on Gibson's or Sutherlins would be very appreciated.
