I helped make a database of the divorce records when the Mormons were microfilming them. The database consists of divorces from 1871-1922. I also have a listing of Cherokee County, AL divorces from 1895-1950. The Etowah County, Al divorce files are kept in the Circuit court building as far as I know and the employees have not been very helpful in finding them in the past but that may have changed. Most of the Cherokee County, AL divorce files are at the Cherokee County library. What isnt there I think may be in the attic of the Cherokee County Museum.
