Our ancestor is William Battles, son of William Noel, and brother to Samuel. Does anyone have definite connections for William? I've seen many different versions in many places. My grandfather was Robert N. Battles m. Bessie Ashworth, his father was Richard Battles m. Rosa Hewitt, his father was Franklin Battles m. Sarah, and his father was William m. first, Kezziah Wright, m. second, Ann Jacobs. We have gathered a good deal of information about these folks...down to our own generation. We would love to share information with anyone who is interested in these lines.
