Interesting source about a "nursery rhyme" ----- Original Message ----- From: "Evelyn DeRamus" <[email protected]> To: "Caroline" <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, July 01, 2001 7:37 PM Subject: Ring Around the Rosey The nursery rhyme "Ring Around the Rosey" is a rhyme about the plague. Infected people with the plague would get red circular sores ("Ring around the rosey"), these sores would smell very badly so common folks would put flowers on their bodies somewhere conspicuously, so that it would cover the smell of the sores ("a pocket full of posies"). Furthermore, people who died from the plague would be burned so as to reduce the possible spread of the disease ("ashes, ashes, we all fall down").
ross summerford will you please email me, i have a question about the family
Will they ever stop with the area codes?

It will cover all of Mobile, Baldwin, and Washington Counties, and parts of six other counties, including the communities of Brewton, Evergreen, Monroeville, Grove hill, Jackson and Chatom. It was effective June 18th, but through Jan 6, 2002 you will be able to dial the 334 and you will connected, but after that you will have to dial the 251. (I just received my phone bill and remembered the insert in the bill.) You can see exactly what prefixes it covered by visiting http://www.bellsouth.com/areacode Keitha in Calhoun Co., AL
