Participants will learn ways to preserve their family and community cemeteries, and will discover legal, financial, and technical strategies to aid in preservation and maintenance projects. Dynamic speakers from the Alabama Historical Commission, the Alabama Attorney General's office, and local genealogical and historical societies will provide both a state-wide and a local perspective for each topic presented. You should leave this workshop with good ideas for steps that you can take when you go back home to help prevent the loss of our historical heritage!
