I'm anxious to learn anything I can about the parents of Eugenia Octave Thornton, who is my Great Great Grandmother. In the census of 1880, she lived near Tallassee with a younger brother named as "Alonza Thornton" and his wife "Mariller". Their younger sister was also there, listed as "Malissa". In December of 1880, she married Isaac Archie Jackson. According to my best information (which includes her grave marker), she was born 21 July 1852 and died 14 Sep 1932. Her death certificate says her father was "G. Thornton" and nothing more than that. I suspect she was born in Tallapoosa County, though I have no proof.
