I am the great granddaughter of Charles Thomas Bandy, b. 1856, believed to have been in Tallapoosa County Alabama. He married Francis "Fanny" Loflin, and they later moved to Jackson Parish, Louisiana, where they settled, then died there in 1900. Charles Thomas was orphaned at a very young age, and he is shown in the 1860 Alabama census as living in the household of a Nancy Thompson at about the age of 5 if memory serves me correctly. I have just found information that seems to make it appear that Nancy Thompson may have been the daughter of a Temperance Phillips and a Charles Irwin Thompson. I am now trying to find out more information on Temperance Phillips, and that family, in the hopes that maybe this will lead me to more information on my Bandy family. Also of note here, as I mentioned above, Charles Thomas Bandy married Frances Fanny Loflin. Frances Loflin had a sister named Margaret E. Loflin. Margaret E. married Charles Erwin Thompson. Therefore, I believe with that information, I very well may finally be on the right track here. If anyone has any information about any of these folks, I'd sure appreciate hearing from you. Thank you, Nancy Bishop nancyb@onlyinternet.net
