    2. Hello All, From what I have learned, there was a post office for the community around the school called Central Institute and it was known as Central Institute Post Office. In one of the census reports, the Central Institute post office is one of the designations for giving the location of the homes visited. I don't think that the reference to the school means your ancestor was enrolled at the school. Could have simply been living in that vicinity. There is still a location on AL maps which is now called "Central".
