Beatty (age 24) married Mary Ann Daniel (Age 23) in Elmore Co., Alabama at the residence of her mother Caroline (Gentry) Daniel. W. J. Scoggins signed her bond. W. E. Texas Census in same household (Scoggins & Daniel's together) I believe this is the Erwin Daniel listed in the 1870 Elmore Co., Al census above. and this William could be the one on GW & Mary's marriage license. Irwin Daniel, W, M, 25, Boarder, AL, SC, GA William Scoggins, W, M, 31, Boarder, AL, SC, GA March 2, 1881 - Marriage in Smith Co., Texas G. W. Beaty to Cappie Stephens on same certificate G. W. Baty(sp), John M. Rucker, Clerk; W. H. McKay, Deputy Clerk; A.M. Marler officiated. (Again our G.W.) There were several children from this marriage. Mattie, Steve, George Washington, Jr., Levi, Wynn, Jack, Sam (Some of these children were born in VanZandt Co., Texas I cannot find George W. anywhere before 1870. Note all different spellings.
