NC in 1859? I know Shadrack got killed by Indians about 1862, but never really found out what happened to the rest of the clan. Speculation has it that Catherine (Baker) Calloway died in 1889 in MO. The last mention I have of Catherine is in the 1880 census of TX where she and her daughter Mattie werre both declared widows while Mattie was raising her son Tom Fitzwater. I appreciate all and any responses.
