The new info is great. In my notes, I have letters written early '80's stating this cemetery is on plantation land owned first by the Gray family who were in then Autauga as early as 1818. Those of us searching the Gray line in this area feel this land was originally the property of George Gray and inherited by at least one son, John who was to take care of and see to his younger brother James after George's death in 1830. The Amelia Taylor buried in cemetery was a Gray before marriage but have not proven if she is child of George or sister. I believe John and his wives ? to be buried here as well as others in family such as Jeremiah his son and also Jesse Gray, a brother to John who is "missing" from the census about the same time as John's death.
