    1. [ALElmore] Autauga Cemetery Book Project
    2. Caroline
    3. Subject: Autauga Cemetery Book Project We have set our first official "Committee" meeting on the Autauga Cemetery Book project for next Thursday, August 29th at 7:00 pm. at the "Little White House" next to the Heritage Center in Prattville. We plan to meet and start determining what cemeteries we have sufficiently surveyed, and which cemeteries we need to survey. We also plan to discuss possible formats for the book. We aks that all interested persons bring copies of any cemetery survey (s) they have done which we can possibly use for the book. We need all the hands and minds we can muster up to accomplish this goal. We need people who can get out in the woods and survey cemeteries and we need people who can type. We will have a limited amount of time to get the surveying done in the fall. There are some of the cemeteries located in remote locations which must be surveyed before deer season starts in November. After this we will only have about a month's break in January-February before turkey season begins. Please make plans to attend this meeting next week if at all possible. Share this information with others who may be interested in helping. We will try to plan a follow-up meeting in late September to kick off the "surveying". If you have any questions, please feel free to call myself (358-5351) or Jane Klinner (365-7176). Your "fellow digger", Larry

Surnames: Spigner/Speigner/Spigener Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/VS.2ADI/652 Message Board Post: As President of the Spigner-Speigner-Spigener Family Reunion, I am collecting any and all information about members of our great family to be included in a first rate history book to be published by our next reniuon in summer 2003, 2 1/2 centuries after John George's arrival in Charleston, SC. This data collection phase is very important because data accuracy is critical. By the end of the year I will be asking everyone to send pictures and stories, all of which will be included. This is a giant undertaking, but it will be most rewarding. What I need right now, in any format, is hard data: names of Spigner-Speigner-Spigener descendants, dates, burial places (cemetery names and locations would be very helpful -I'm trying to visit them all), and other good data. I will need proof readers and editors for content by around the end of the year, so please volunteer. And get your pictures and stories ready!! SEND INFO NOW - SNAIL MAIL, VOICE MAIL or EMAIL!!! THANKS. Fletcher Spigner, 28 Ricemill Ferry, Columbia, SC 29229 803-250-2284 (10 minute voice mail) or FSpigner@aol.com
