Thanks, Donna. By the way, I wanted to share with you a correction from the originals of a name that was mistranscribed. This had puzzled us for years, until I pulled the original microfilm recently and looked closely. If you could share this with your other lists. This is 1800 SC Census: > EDGEFIELD DISTRICT Created: 1795 > Formed from: part of Ninety-Six District. > ETHERIDGE, HENRY EDGEFIELD CO 134 11110-20110-00 > ARBEL, AARON EDGEFIELD CO 145 12110-10210-01 > EPERT, ADAM EDGEFIELD CO 155 30001-10100-01 > ETHERIDGE, EDMUND EDGEFIELD CO 157 20010-00100-00 > ETHERIDGE, LEWIS EDGEFIELD CO 157 20101-10010-01 > ETHERIDGE, WILLIAM EDGEFIELD CO 157 12001-01110-02 > ETHERIDGE, JOEL EDGEFIELD CO 176 10010-20011-00 > ETHERIDGE, JOHN EDGEFIELD CO 176 41010-21010-00 > ETHERIDGE, LOTT EDGEFIELD CO 176 41010-21010-00 > ETHERIDGE, SAMUEL EDGEFIELD CO 176 32101-01002-00 > ETHERIDGE, LEWIS EDGEFIELD CO 177 10100-00100-00 > ELLAN, WILLIAM EDGEFIELD CO 178 10100-10100-00 > ETHERIDGE, ______ EDGEFIELD CO 178 23101-21101-08 > ETHERIDGE, AARON EDGEFIELD CO 178 23101-21101-08 > ETHERIDGE, AUSTIN EDGEFIELD CO 181 10100-00100-01 > ALDRIDGE, JAMES EDGEFIELD CO 187 10010-30010-00 This is *Isham* Aldridge, not James. From the microfilm, which is damaged, it's hard to see the letters clearly, but close examination has revealed that it is Isham. He is believed to have been Isham/Isom ARLEDGE, as was John ARLEDGE (next entry). ARLEDGE was frequently spelled as ALDRIDGE, as you know. > ALDRIDGE, JOHN EDGEFIELD CO 187 02101-21001-04 Thanks!
