Thanks a bunch to Linda Allred Cooper for providing us with the following: Linda Cooper <lacooper@mindspring.com> wrote: I was in the NC State Archives for a little bit this afternoon and pulled the Orange County, NC land grants for the 1700's. Here's what I found in the Granville Grants file: Alldrage, Joseph grant #74 book #14 page #330 455 acres issued 12/11/1762 "on flat river" Aldridge, Nathaniel grant #69 book #14 page # 329 210 acres issued 2/6/1761 no description Aldrage, Nathaniel grant #57 book #14 page #328 700 acres issued 12/8/1762 "on flat river" Aldridge, William grant # .... book #14 page #328 256 acres issue 12/13/1756 on a branch of Sandy Creek Allred, John grant #33 book #14 page #332 520 acres issued 3/15/1756 on both sides of Mt. I'm not familiar with Mil Stone Creek - don't know where that could be, possibly today's Orange County.) Next chance I get I'll look and see if I can find more. Linda lacooper@mindspring.com
