Kelley, I feel certain this is the same family. I have more than a million questions . . . . My William Aldridge lived from 1863-1951. Do you know the family story that he worked as a gold smelterer in the Cripple Creek Mines of CO; when he returned home to NC he brought a sizeable gold nugget to the folks -- the children used it as a toy until they misplaced it. If this is your William Aldridge, can you tell me the names of his wives?
