Richmond Times Dispatch, Richmond, VA Death Notices Jun 26, 2002 ALDRIDGE Goldie Hart Aldridge, age 87, of Mechanicsville, took God's hand on June 25, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel E. "Jake" Aldridge. She is survived by two daughters, Virginia Whitfield of Mechanicsville and Anne Grow of Deltaville; one sister, Doris Foster; four grandchildren, Charles and Jay Whitfield, Kelli Cordle and Patricia Kennard; eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Aldridge was a life member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 South Laburnum Ave., where a funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday with interment to follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
