Aldrich Reunion Saturday, May 30 AND Sunday, May 31, 1998 A More Complete Announcement Betty's other two notices failed to cover the second day's information so here goes: Brief Overview: This reunion was originally planned for the three day Memorial Day weekend and is the first state wide reunion of the Aldrich family in over fifty years. Though you may not be aware of it, almost all of us are descended from Collin Aldrich who came, in 1828, to what would become the Republic of Texas. Some of you arrived later descended from our other cousins back east. ALL Aldrich descendants and interested in-laws are asked to come and join in the celebration. Next year it will be held on Memorial Day Weekend, allowing more travel time for all. Fact: Did you know that almost all of the Aldriches in this country are descended from George who came to the colonies in 1631? That being the case, allow me to say; Howdy Cuz! We hope you can attend both days but please come to at least one. Bring pictures, any birth certificates, newspaper articles, obits, JEDCOM files on IBM or Mac disks, etc. there will be a computer, printer, copier, etc to share and document much of the info for everyone.
