34 th Annual Reunion of the National Aldrich Association July 18-19 - 1998 The annual Reunion of the National Aldrich Association is being held in Swanzey, NH. For Room Reservations please call Best Western 1 800 528-1234 Be sure to ask for our special rate of $70.00 Friday, July 17, 1989 -6 PM Early Bird dinner - Best Western Hotel , Keene, NH Saturday, July 18, 1998 - 10:30 AM We will meet at the Swanzey Historical Museum, Route 10 - West Swanzey, NH. From here we will travel to the old Aldrich Cemetery in Richmond on Route 32. This is a short walk just off the highway. Wear long pants and walking shoes. At 12:30 we will have lunch at the Monadnock View Restaurant, Route 12, Troy, NH At 2 PM we will go to Aldrich Road in East Swanzey for a tour of the old Amasa Aldrich house. Present owner, Richard Scarmelli will give us a tour. Then we will visit the Mt Ceaser Cemetery to see Aldrich burial sites. At 5 PM we will have supper at the First Congregational Church, Swanzey Center. At 7 PM there is an out-door band concert just prior to the 8 PM showing of the Play, "The Old Homestead" at the Potash Bowl. Sunday, July 19, 1998 - Morning Church Services in Keene, NH 11:00 AM Annual Meeting and luncheon at the Historical Society of Cheshire County, 245 Main Street, Keene, NH. The Archive Center will be open for our use. The center contains books, manuscripts, photographs, maps and business records. Genealogy books include the 6 volumes by A. J. Aldrich plus many others. A catered luncheon will be served. Total cost for lunch and use of the Historical Center will be Approximately $12.00 per person.
