Would anyone have any idea who this JAMES ALDRICH was? He requested and received membership in the Farmington (Ontario Co., NY) Quaker meeting in 1812 (he would have been an adult at that time). By 1818 he removed to Erie Co., NY, and by 1832 he can be identified with the Orthodox faction of the Collins Quaker meeting (which covered southern Erie, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties, NY). There was a James Aldrich b. c.1793 MA res. Clymer, Chautauqua Co., NY with wife, Louise A. b. c.1810 MA and family in 1850. Slight possibility this could have been him. But not convincing!
