Aldrich I was hoping you might be able to help me with my Aldrich ancestors. My grandmother was an Aldrich, Etta Tabitha b.10-15-1872 Kent Co. MI, m. Lewis M. Hunting, 8-7-1895 --Rockford, MI. She was the daughter of Peter M. Aldrich b. 9-4- 1835, Wayne Co., MI. and Mary P. Dryden, b.abt. 1844, Worcester Co., MD. m. 11-12-69 in Hannabal, MO. Peter was in Mo. for 3 yrs. during the Civil War. He met Mary and took her back to MI with him. I do not have a death date for Peter. Peter was the son of Marvin M. who was born in VT. 5-18-1803, he m. a Mary Harrington of Newfane, NY she d. abt 1834. Marvin was the son of Chad b.2-12-1773, Northbridge,W. MA, d.4-16-1816, m. Sally Rockword of same place. Chad was the son of Stephen, who was son of John, who was son of John, who was son of George b. 1604/1605 of Derbyshire, Eng. he was son of George, who was son of William of Norfolk, Eng. Mary Dryden died fairly young and is buried in Cedar Springs, MI. Peter M. took his four sons Edward, Marvin, Frank and Archie to New London, MO. This woud be about 1884. He left his daughters Etta and Nettie behind with the DeWitt Perry family.
