Hi All, Before the hoildays, I had been receiving quite a few message in my box . asking me " How to preserve documents" , the best way to document sources and etc.. We have a Cuz on this list, Sue Roe, that has " Genealogy Recipes" which she has shared on other list.. Sue I was wondering if you would share some of your "RECIPES" with our Aldrich cousins?? It may help many of us, but especially the newbees, to genealogy, to not make the same mistakes we have made and many of us still make. I know I had put some very rare one of a kind old picture in a magnetic page album and now they are all stuck to the cardborad.. worst than if I had glued them. and I learned from my error, the hard way. so probably we can help others not to make the same mistakes.. I have mislaid the letters I received but Presevation of Documents, Records & Photographs, would be a good place to start and any other recipes you care to share with us.. I was also asked if laminating a record preserves it??? Thanks Sue, know I asked you awhile back if you would share with us, after the Holidays, and you said "you'd be happy too!"
