Hello, I am now completely at a loss to explain some things. I have an ancestor, Luther T. ALDRICH, b. abt 1824 in NY (unknown county), the George Aldrich Genealogy, v. 5 lists him as Tunrer ALDRICH, Jr. sons. Recently, W. David Samuelsen said that this could not be true since Turner had already left NY by 1820, now I have a census record for Turner ALDRIDGE, JR. in Erie Co, NY for 1830, could this actually e another Turner Jr? Can someone please shed some light on this apparent contradiction and does anyone know if a will exists for Turner, Jr. that lists his children. If my Luther is not the son of Turner, does anyone have information on a Luther ALDREDGE in Livingston Co, NY around 1830 or a Luther ALDRICH/ALDRIDGE in Ontario Co., NY.
