Hi alice and All: According to Webster's Encyclopedic Unabridged Dictionary of the English Language 1989 pg 891: Meeting house 1. a house or building for religious worship 2. a house of worship for Quakers You are correct Alice: George Aldrich was not a Quaker, or at least he did not profess to be one. If he were, he's more than likely have been buried in the Quaker Cemetery then, and I very much doubt this was the case. To Derby, you asked was George one of the Quakers, that was in NE in 1630? Yes to NE, but no to being a Quaker that can be proven, and I very much doubt this can be proven that he was. Alison
